Pet-sitting

The Pet-sitting feature allows users to earn COSMO rewards, whether or not they own a Dogamí. It benefits Dogamí owners who might not have time (or have too many Dogamí) and also those looking to experience the game (and get some rewards) if they can't purchase a Dogamí themselves.

Pet-sitting is available from the hub. Some filters enable users to find their favorite breeds, select a rarity tier, level and choose the rewards offered.

▶️ For Dogamí Owners: List Your Dogamí

If you own multiple Dogamí or you do not have time to manage them, now list your Dogamí directly from the collection tab.

You will be able to choose between:

  • Public listing: Anyone can start taking care of your Dogamí once it's available

  • Direct-to-player pet-sitting: if you know a specific sitter, type their name and send it to them directly.

Pet-sitting is off-chain, meaning you can list Tezos or Polygon Dogamí without worrying about the wallet type of either party. Both parties can end the contract anytime, and notifications are sent via email when pet-sitting starts or ends.

Owners can choose the reward share split before pet-sitting starts.

◀️ For Sitters: Race others' Dogamí and Earn COSMO

For those who don’t own a Dogamí, the marketplace offers a chance to pet-sit. Filters allow you to choose based on breed, rarity, and profit split.

Sitters participate in PvP races, earning a share of the COSMO rewards while keeping any in-game STARS collected. The platform caps the number of Dogamí a sitter can care for at 10, excluding personal Dogamí.

📰 Pet-Sitting History

Dogamí owners can consult the Pet-Sitting history of their Dogamí by going to the "My Collection".

Owners can see the names of the current Pet-sitters, the split, how long each sitter has been pet-sitting, the level gain and the total COSMO earned. In the example below, 20% will go to the DogamÍ owner and 80% to the sitter

Key Features and FAQs

  • Pet-sitting is off-chain, with weekly payouts in $DOGA Polygon (converted from COSMO, of course).

  • Sitters can claim rewards once a week.

  • Profit splits are set before pet-sitting starts and cannot be changed mid-contract.

  • Owners can sell a Dogamí during a pet-sitting contract, but sitters will still receive their reward share from any completed races.

Both owners and sitters benefit from flexibility, community collaboration, and earning opportunities, with continuous updates planned to improve the system.
