Use this Dogamer’s glossary to decrypt certain words and terminology you may not be familiar with.
💜 - A generic symbol of affection.
Academy - DOGAMÍ’s flagship mobile game that combines obstacle course races with management. Academies - Training centers (set up by heroes of the Companions of Earth Comic book) in which Dogamí and their human companions compete to enhance their skills and reinforce their bond and unlock hidden powers. These academies serve to prepare the world for the inevitable return of the forces of darkness.
AFK Training - Part of the game loop that enables players to train their Dogamí whilst they are not using DOGAMÍ Academy.
APR - Annual Percentage Rate, used to calculate staking rewards.
Anubis - The God closest to the humans and Dogamí. This celestial being has left secret markings on the walls around the world. What do they mean?
Atlantis - One of the mystical locations where Dogamí race
Autofill - An option in-game that automatically selects Powers, Relics and consumables for player that have the greatest impact on the longest segments.
Battle Pass - An option coming to the DOGAMÍ Academy soon that will enable players to get extra rewards and content.
Blockchain - a decentralized and distributed digital ledger that is used to record transactions and store data securely and immutably. It consists of a chain of blocks, each containing a set of transactions, and is maintained by a network of nodes that validate and verify the transactions. Blockchain technology provides transparency, security, and integrity to the data stored on it, and it is often used for cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, and other decentralized applications.
Bridge - A feature enabling you to swap you $DOGA Polygon tokens to $DOGA Tezos and vice versa.
CEX - A centralized exchange (CEX) is a platform that allows users to buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies and other digital assets. It is owned and operated by a single entity and typically requires users to deposit their assets into the exchange's wallet before trading.
Circulating supply - Refers to the number of $DOGA tokens that are currently publicly available to buy or sell on the market.
Claim - A feature on our website that let's you collect you COSMO tokens and swap them on a 1:1 ratio with $DOGA.
Collection - Refers to the year of the launch i.e. Alpha Series 1 Collection
Companions of Earth - The first DOGAMÍ comic book created with Valiant comics.
Consumables - Single-use in-game items that temporarily increase the skills of Dogamí during racing.
Cosmetics - A feature enabling players to express their style customizing their Dogamí.
COSMO - COSMO is the in-game reward currency. It is an off-chain representation of $DOGA that is awarded during PvP events played by NFT owners.
DEX - A decentralized exchange (DEX) is a platform that facilitates peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading without the need for a central authority or intermediary. It operates on a decentralized blockchain network and allows users to retain control of their assets while trading.
Dogamí - A 3D dog NFT and your true virtual companion.
DOGAMÍ - Refers to the company/ecosystem.
$DOGA - The exclusive hybrid utility/governance token of the DOGAMÍ ecosystem with multiple use cases such as governing the franchise creation process, staking, spending on breeding, NUBIX or Cosmetics. It is not an in-game resource.
DOGA DOGA - The war cry of Dogamers, often used to express joy related to news or reveals. Example: That is lit!!! DOGA DOGA!!!
DOGA Wear - DOGAMÍ branded clothing for web3 and gaming communities.
Dogamer - Dogamers are part of the DOGAMÍ community. They are the collectors, gamers, and fans of the DOGAMÍ universe. AKA YOU!
Dual-skill module - Modules are blocks that race courses are built from that test a Dogamí's abilities. Dual skill modules test 2 skills, for example the Water Slope & Wave Pool will test both the Might & Swim Skill of your Dogamí.
Energy - A resource that each Dogamí has required to do an activity in DOGAMÍ Academy. It recharges over time.
Energy Multipliers - Multiply energy cost & rewards (STARS & XP). Usable in PvE races to accelerate progression.
Gamma - Our second collection, currently composed of 4,000 NFTs
Generation - Refers to the breed count.
Group - Refers to one of seven groups your Dogamí might belong to.
Level - Refers to the overall level of your Dogamí. It ranges from 1 to 50.
Loot box (AKA spheres) - Spheres are our exclusive loot boxes, which can be purchased in the Shop or earned as rewards. They contain a variety of items.
Marketplace - A platform on which Dogamers, buy and sell Dogamí and accessory NFTs as well as stake $DOGA and manage their DOGAMÍ accounts.
Missions - Daily and Weekly Missions are tasks that players must before in-app.
Materials - Materials are ressources that are used to upgrade your Dogamí Powers. They can be earned & or acquired via Missions, Battle Pass rewards, Loot Boxes & more. There are 3 different rarities and 7 different types.
Multi-chain - A blockchain platform that supports multiple chains. The DOGAMÍ ecosystem supports Polygon and Tezos.
Migration - A feature on our platform that lets you port you Tezos Dogamí to Polygon.
NFT - Stands for a non-fungible token, which means that hidden in each Dogamí virtual companion, there’s a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger using the Tezos blockchain to establish proof of ownership.
NUBIX - a premium in-game hard currency that is used to upgrade your Dogamí companion, your Relics, to buy Cosmetics, or skip waiting times
OG - “O.G” or “original gangster” refers to someone who is old school, in this case, an OG Dogamer is a community member who has been with us from the start.
Personalities - A Each Dogamí has a dominant personality and a recessive personality. These personalities offer a focus bonus on specific skills during training, increasing the chances of good results.
Pet-sitting - A feature that lets you play with a Dogamí to earn COSMO, or list your own Dogamí to split the rewards with a pet-sitter!
Purina DOGASNAX - A training consumable that enables your Dogamí's focus to increase on certain skills while they are using the AFK training.
Portals - An initiative launched by DOGAMÍ through which Dogamers can take their NFTs on adventures with them outside of the DOGAMÍ ecosystem.
Play & earn - A style of game that offers a financial incentive to play. We like to say play AND earn.
Powers - Dogamí are mystical beings and each one has unique powers. Powers can increase their chances of victory during a race, provided you use them correctly. Each Dogamí has 8 Passive Powers and 8 Active Powers.
Rarity Score - The Rarity Score compares the probability of occurrence of a specific combination of a Dogamí’s physical traits and Personalities within the overall Dogamí population.
Rarity tier - Refers to 1 of 4 rarity tiers (bronze, silver, gold, diamond).
Relics - Items that can be equipped before & activated during the race to boost Skills, providing a speed advantage if matched with the obstacle. They are similar to Powers but are linked to linked to the player account, not to the Dogamí.
Series - Describes a drop of a specific collection. Alpha Series 2, represents the second drop of the collection this year.`
Seth - A jealous God who threw the world into chaos.
Skills - Refers to the capabilities of the Dogamí (Velocity, Swim, Jump, Balance, Might & Instinct).
Spirit Fusion - A future feature enabling you to breed your Dogamí
STARS - STARS is an in-game soft currency that is used to pay for Trainings or Consumables
Staking - How we reward our community members for locking up their $DOGA tokens and actively participating in the DOGAMÍ ecosystem. This activity is non-custodial and for promotional purposes only. $DOGA tokens can be locked up into different programs via the marketplace staking platform.
Tezos - Tezos is a decentralized blockchain network that uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism to validate transactions and allows for the creation of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). It aims to offer self-amendment and on-chain governance features, allowing stakeholders to vote on proposed changes to the protocol.
Wallet - a software application or hardware device that stores private keys and enables users to securely store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies, such as XTZ or $DOGA.
Web3 - The next evolution of the internet with an emphasis on decentralized applications, blockchain technologies, and digital ownership.
XTZ - XTZ is the native cryptocurrency of the Tezos blockchain network.
XP - The number of experience points your Dogamí has.
